Bobby "Bob" Poole, age 73, resident of Hurtsboro, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center, Columbus, Georgia. Memorial services are pending at 1st United Methodist Church Hurtsboro, Alabama.
Mr. Poole, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Poole, was born August 25, 1945 in Washington, Georgia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam Era Conflict. After his military service, he began a career with the State of Florida Law Enforcement, where he faithfully served for 30 years. After retiring, he began a career owning and operating the Gunrunner Gun Shop. His love of travel and the outdoors lead him to become a hunting guide in Nova Scotia. Mr. Poole then came back to the Hurtsboro area where he spent a lot of quality time hunting game.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Blackmon Poole of Hurtsboro, Alabama; one daughter, Tammy Poole of Tallahassee, Florida; one son, Robert Poole of Buena Visa, Georgia; a brother, Glen Poole and his wife Irene of Six Mile, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Raven, Robyn, Kristopher, Dalton, and Siarra; one great-grandson, Kyler; many other relatives and friends.
