Bobby Terrill Spivey Sr.

Bobby Terrill Spivey, Sr., passed away Wednesday December 4, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday December 9, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431/280W, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Serving as pall bearers are Joey Milligan, Jason Burgess, Jonah Eldridge, Jerry Free, Kevin Tomblin and Billy Jenkins. Honorary pall bearers are John Free, Ricky Davis and Shelby Greathouse. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Spivey was born November 20, 1939 in Blue Springs, Alabama. He is the son of the late Curtis Albert David Spivey and Leona Gulledge Spivey. He was employed with East Alabama Glass Company for more than 35 years, was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church and the Chattahoochee Valley Southern Gospel Association. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Spivey and sister, Beatrice Holmes.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Spivey, daughters, Jennifer Tomblin (Kevin), Stephanie Raines (Andrew), Diane Lawson (Rob), Sherri Peavy (Kevin), Gina Jenkins (Billy), sons, Terrill Spivey, Michael Peak, sisters, Millie Egnor, Leann Morrison, brother, Jack Spivey (Clydie), grandchildren, Magen, Jared, Ashley, Madison, Abbygale, Katelyn, Lee and PawPaw's "little man" Brett. Also God is sending our first great grandson, Colton in January and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
