my heart breaks, Bodie and I grew up together, we played baseball and football all the time with his dad and uncle .he was my best friend from that area .he also played baseball on my dads team my dad loved Bodie too. I lost track of him as life always gets in the way it seems and recently his sister Tracie contacted me and told me he lived in phenix city . I had intended to visit him but again life interfered or I let it interfere . Bodie had been on my mind for some reason in last couple weeks. ive learned from this that don't let things interfere with things that are whats important... friends and family. the rest will take care of itself. just reading the obit told me things I didn't know about Bodie, his own family , him loseing a son , GOD I know how that is as I lost one also, and the people who loved him. Bodie ..forgive me for me being late. know I loved you as brother, you will be missed my lil brother from another mother. war eagle

My heart breaks but I know I will see him again one day, he was such a great and wonderful person. He would do anything for you. I'm going to miss him singing "Betty Crocker" I can hear and see him now. Praying for the family.

Becky my heart breaks for you and those adorable Grandbabies.
I will never forget the first time I meet Bodie, you knew he would be your friend for life.and when Doc and him came to the front they were laughing at me, I said what did I do. Doc showed me his chart and I put Bogie on it, Bodie said you can call me anything. A great man.
Sending you. My deepest sympathy and love my friend. Brenda Maddox Vitzen
