Bonnie Mulligan Williams, born July 31, 1939, in Lebanon, Missouri, was the daughter of Leslie and Flora Mulligan. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Bonnie will be remembered for her warm smile, welcoming hugs, infectious laugh, and the special way she made everyone feel at home.
Bonnie was married to the love of her life, Wayne Perry Williams, for 62 years before his passing on October 8, 2025. Together, they built a family and a lifetime of memories that will continue to be cherished for generations.
Above all else, Bonnie treasured her family. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, and no visitor ever left without being offered something to eat or drink. She was rarely found sitting down, as she was always busy preparing snacks, pouring beverages, and making sure everyone around her was comfortable and cared for. Her hospitality was simply an extension of the love she carried in her heart.
Bonnie’s infectious laughter could brighten any room, and her family will forever smile when remembering the stories and traditions that made her so special. One family favorite was her lasagna, a dish she lovingly prepared for others, even though she didn’t particularly care for it herself.
Her greatest joy, however, was found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie was always ready to get on the floor with them to sing “stack, stack, stack the blocks”, or pull up a chair at the kitchen table to play (and lose) any game they wanted to play. She loved to play and be loud and never failed to give them her time, attention, and unconditional love.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Flora Mulligan; her beloved husband, Wayne Perry Williams; and her grandson, Nathanael Zachary Williams.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary Wayne Williams (Elizabeth) of Crawford, Alabama, and John David Williams (Zoe Ann) of Crawford, Alabama; her three grandchildren, Justin David Williams (Barak) of Crawford, Alabama, Amber Craig (Braxton) of Florence, Alabama, and Hannah Williams of Crawford, Alabama; and her five great-grandchildren, Abe, Zeke, Lydia, Silas, and Walker.
Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished family memories. She will be remembered for the warmth of her hugs, the sound of her laughter, her welcoming home, and the countless ways she made her family feel loved. Her memory will live on in the traditions she created, the stories shared around the table, and the love she gave so freely.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
