
Carolyn W. Butler, 61 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 23rd at Phildadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Skip Speed and Rev. Woody Brown officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431/280 W, Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Newsome Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Serving as active pall bearers are Ken Broadwater, Jeff Broadwater, Jay Redden, Nicholas Easter, Talmadge (T.J.) Wilkerson and Greg Schoenberger. Honorary pall bearers are Pete Garner, Jared Wells, Aaron Greene and Chuck Redden.
Mrs. Butler was born June 22, 1951 in Clio, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Talmadge and Louise Arrington Wilkerson. She was retired from the Phenix City School System and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. "Butch" Butler, two sisters, Ann Cox and Anita Broadwater and a brother, Ronnie Wilkerson.
Survivors include her three sons, Chris Butler (Stephanie), Chad Butler (Jessica), Lance Butler (Victoria), daughter, Amber Lester, brothers, Donnie Wilkerson, Taffus Wilkerson, sisters, Eleanor Norman, Tena Easter, grandchildren, Daylin, Canyon, Cami, Weston, Brooks, Beau, Noah, Kelsey, McKenzie and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
