Carolyn Walters Jordan

Carolyn Walters Jordan 69 of Phenix City, Alabama died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 8, 2016 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Wayne Veal officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jordan was born January 11, 1947 in Ansley, Alabama; daughter of the late Morris A. and Hazel C. Williams Walters. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Walters.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Vernon William Jordan, Sr. of Phenix City, AL; children, Donna Jordan Turner (Bobby Wayne) of Troy, AL, Rita Jordan Sanders (James Wade), Vernon William "Bill" Jordan, Jr. (Amanda) all of Phenix City, AL, Paul Jordan (Bernie) of Seale, AL, sisters; Henrietta Sanders of Ansley, AL, Faye Watford of Phenix City, AL, Ronnie Foster of Pine Level, AL, brother, Chester Walters of Conyers, GA, grandchildren, Ashley Carol Turner (fiance' Marcus Sanders), Jonathan Sanders (Jessica), Kristin Sanders (fiance' Brandon Griffith), Brianna Stewart (Brandon), Carrson Jordan, Tatiana Jordan, Addison Jordan, Michael Jordan, great grandchildren, Dawson Sanders, Natalie Stewart; very dear friends, Scott and Joan Saltee, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
