Cecil Michael Franklin

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, on June 17, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm EDT.

Cecil was born January 1, 1950; son of the late Cecil Edgar Franklin and Mary Anna Schuster Franklin. He was retired from the Sunshine Biscuit Company and is known for coaching softball and football at the Ladonia Sports Complex and for being an avid bowler.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Franklin.

Survivors include his son, Michael Paul Franklin (Elizabeth), daughter, Paula Westmoreland (Chris), daughter, Amanda Davis Key (John) and son, Randy Davis; grandchildren, Dalton Franklin, Ryan Duncan, Shelby St Hilaire, Gavin Duncan, Brendan Moreland, Colt Moreland and five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Steve Franklin (Angie), Randy Franklin (Debra), sisters, Dixie Harwood, Diane Ruhland and numerous nieces and nephews.
