Charles Wayne Carden

Charles Wayne Carden, 56, of Haslet, Texas, formerly of Smiths Station, Alabama, died Wednesday September 28, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00pm (ET) Monday October 3rd in Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, AL.,

according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, AL., 36867. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3pm until 5pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Carden was born June 15, 1955 son of the late Charles Homer Carden and Edith McClemore Carden. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a construction supervisor with the Flournoy Construction Co. in Columbus, GA.

Survivors include his wife, Gilda Carden of Haslet, TX., sons and daughters-in-law, Austin and Erica Carden , Brandon and Jamie Carden, all of Smiths Station, AL., stepchildren, Timothy Donaldson of Smiths Station and Holly Donalson of Zanesville, OH., sister, Kathy Carden of Villa Rica, GA., 9 grandchildren, niece and nephew, Jenny and Jason Norris, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
