

Charles E. "Chuck" Myrick, 83 of Phenix City, Alabama died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Robert Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Striffler-Hamby Hamby, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Myrick was born October 11, 1931 in Phenix City, Alabama; son of the late W.A. and Mavis Halstad Myrick. He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of Summerville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was head usher and member of the Faith Team. He was an avid fisherman, had owned and operated Myrick's Union 76 (Pure) Service Station in Phenix City, AL for many years. He retired in 1997 as a Transportation Supervisor for the Phenix City Board of Education Transportation Department. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Lester Jones and a brother, John Richard Myrick.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lillian Barrow Myrick, daughter, Leslie Simmons (Gerald) of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Jeremy Simmons of Phenix City, AL, Jonathan Simmons (Samantha) of Daphne, AL, brothers, Elmer Myrick (Shirley) of Opelika, AL, Melvin Myrick (Kathy) of Greenville, AL, sisters, Irene Harden (Austin) of Phenix City, AL, Sandra McDaniel (Lloyd) of Ellaville, GA, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
