Charles F. McGuffey, 77 of Seale, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. EDT, Friday November 3, 2023 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial with a graveside service will be held 1:00 pm EDT Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 2146 Chapel Hill Rd., Rutledge, AL 36071.
Mr. McGuffey was born February 20, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Benjamin Frank and Evelyn Kornegay McGuffey. He was retired from Charbroil with 18 years of service. He served in the National Guard and was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, animals and was an all around handyman.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucy Welch McGuffey and his sister, Peggy McGuffey.
Survivors include his children, Charles F. McGuffey and wife, Melissa, Matthew Noland McGuffey, Alex Davis, Tami McDonald, Richard Wyrosdick, Scott Wyrosdick; grandchildren, Logan McGuffey, Chandler McGuffey, Noland McGuffey, Carsen Tierney and husband Tyler and one great grandchild, Olivia Tierney.
