A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, on November 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, on November 22, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Mary Laney Suttles and his wife, Sandra Birdwell Suttles.
Charlie served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve as a Military Intelligence Special Agent. He served in Vietnam. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer (CWO-4). He was a Criminal Investigator with the Treasury Department and later the Defense Criminal Investigative Service. Charlie enjoyed hiking, camping and travel with his late wife and friends.
He is survived by many cousins and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
