A visitation for family and friends for Charles will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL 36867. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Monday, August 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL 36867. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, AL 36867.
Mr. Tracy was born June 1, 1936 in Syracuse, New York; son of the late Ear Roslyn Tracy and Earnestine Adams Tracy. He was retired with more than 30 years of service with MeadWestvaco. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Columbus, GA, was a devout Christian who loved the Lord, loved christian music and was proud to have served as a Gideon. He was also a self taught musician and could play many instruments, but loved playing the piano. He will be remembered by his family as a "jack of all trades" and a kind and loving man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Hill Tracy, sister Bonnie Burnham, brother, Glenn Tracy and grandchild, Lorian Riley.
Survivors include his daughters, Gaynell Riley, Sandy Foster (Gippy), sister, Tina Carpenter, brother, Earl Tracy, beloved sister-in-law, Peggy Tracy; grandchildren, Avery Riley, Kara Van Abel (Eric), Cody Riley, Jamie Stokes, Corey Stokes (Tracy) and nine great grandchildren.
