Clifford Edward Lloyd

Clifford Edward Lloyd, Sr. 75 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday November 13, 2014 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday November 17, 2014 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Alan Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Lloyd was born June 26, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Clifford and Mildred Lloyd. He was a member and retired with more than 20 years of service from the Carpenters and Millrwrights Local Union #1723 in Columbus, GA, past president of the Columbus Building and Trades Council and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Carlie Lloyd.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Riddle Lloyd of Phenix City, AL, children, Clifford Lloyd Jr. (Sandy) of Phenix City, AL, Paige Thomley, Brad Lloyd, Wade Lloyd (Jessica) all of Salem, AL, two sisters, Alice Fossum of Minneapolis, MN, Gloria Jean Lee of Travelers Rest, SC, grandchildren, Kristi Wingard, Ryan Lloyd, Taylor Lloyd, Carter Lloyd, Brayden Lloyd, Tucker Lloyd and great grandchildren, Isabella and Madison Fortune.
