Dean Gunter, 66 of Phenix City, Alabama died Saturday, December 24, 2016 in Columbus, Georgia. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Gunter was born September 2, 1950 in Phenix City, Alabama; son of the late A.B. Gunter and Willie Evelyn Elkins Carden. He was retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning and was the owner of Gunter Electric Company in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Horton and his brother, Earl Gunter.
Survivors include his son, Ken Gunter and wife Shannon of Smiths, AL, two grandchildren Dalton Gunter and Regan Gunter, his soulmate Cindy Conner of Columbus, GA and many extended family and friends.
