Donald H. Sauls

Mr. Donald Huey Sauls, 69, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Thursday March 14, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday March 19th in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverend Donald McCormick officiating. Interment with U.S. Air Force military honors will in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Sauls was born January 6, 1944 in Chickamauga, Georgia, son of the late Willus Otto Sauls and Frankie Duckett Sauls. He retired from the Meade Corporation after more than 38 years of service and is a member of the Courts of Praise Church in Phenix City. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Other than his parents Mr. Sauls is preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Doak, sister Annetta Stevens and brother Willis Sauls.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Diane Sauls of Phenix City, daughters, Laurie Ann Forbes of Phenix City and Barbie Sauls of Salem, AL. sister, Jean Chastain of LaFayette, GA., grandchildren, Michael and Kayla Forbes, Megan Carr and Morgan Charles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
