Earl George Baughman Jr.

Earl George Baughman, Jr., 84 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside Memorial Funeral Services with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia with Pastors Steve Williamson, Clay Duck and Neal Pridgen.

Mr. Baughman was born December 28, 1936 in Los Angeles, California; son of the late Earl George Baughman, Sr. and Lucille Elizabeth Oliver Pinkerton. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and went on to serve as pastor of several churches in Florida, Georgia and California. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Survivors include his wife of 59 1/2 years, Carol Anne Dawkins Baughman, son, Samuel Earl Baughman (Christi), daughter, Nancy Baughman Pridgen (Neal), brother, Kenneth Charles Baughman; eight grandchildren, Tyler Baughman (Marcy), Lindsey Turberville (Richard), Cody Baughman (Megan), Carson Pridgen, Ce Ce Pridgen, Corban Pridgen, Cadence Pridgen, great grandchildren, Harper Baughman, Blake Turberville and Tripp Baughman.
