

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 5. 2016 in the Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Scott Flournoy, Larry Golden, Avery Sherman, Robert Tomblin, Rocky Parrish and Chris Parrish.
Mr. Parrish was born in Coffee County, AL. on March 29, 1929 to the late Barney Parrish and Candie Kelly Parrish. He has been a resident of Phenix City, AL, since 1951 and was a member of the United Baptist Church. Mr. Parrish retired as a Supervisor with Fieldcrest Mills and was a Builder. He had a passion for gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers Wayne Parrish, Paul Parrish, Adolph Parris and Alcus Parrish a sister, Lorene Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Gladys Hall Parrish of Phenix City, AL. son, Eddie Joe Parrish and wife Wanda of Salem, AL. daughter, Rhonda Faye Cooley of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Amie Parrish Flournoy (Scott) and Carisa M. Sherman (Robert), great grandchildren, Hannah Michelle Sherman, Meagan Nichole Sherman, Caitlin Marie Flournoy, Caden Scott Flournoy and Cohlton Parrish Flournoy, a sister, Trudie Rachael of Elba, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
