SSG Eugene Talmadge Spence US Army (Ret), 78 of LaGrange, GA, formerly of Swainsboro, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2012 at his home. A private graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00pm Monday, April 9, 2012 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Cleve Moore officiating.
Mr. Spence was born September 16, 1933 in Midville, Georgia. He was the son of the late F.E. "Lucky" and Thelma Spence Jordan. He was retired from the U.S. Army and was baptist by faith.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Bice and husband, Phillip, Denise Lynch and husband, Douglas, Eugene L. Spence and wife, Debi, Brenda Hamby and husband, Richard, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
