Fletcher Hugh Bartee, 87 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bartee was born June 24, 1934 in Russell County, Alabama; son of the late Fletcher B. and Adell Mann Bartee. He owned and operated Bartee Plumbing and Electrical, was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church where he served as deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. He enjoyed taking road trips with his wife and his grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Weller (Merton) and brother, Jack Bartee (Betty Azell).
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Inez Bartee, children, Debra Cook (Jack), Brenda Hudson (Mark), grandchildren, Jessica Coleman (Charlie), Jenny Hudson and great granddaughter, Caitlynn Coleman.
