Frances Marjory Gerlach Brasfield

Frances Marjory Gerlach Brasfield, 71 of Phenix City, Alabama died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 8, 2015 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, GA with Rev. Grace Burton-Edwards and Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Livingston, TX, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL.

Ms. Brasfield was born May 28, 1943 in Lufkin, Texas; daughter of the late Charles Jacob and Ruth "Dotsy" O'Hara Gerlach. She was retired from Fort Benning Schools with 38 years of service and taught at Kaplan University after retirement. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, GA.

Survivors include her son, Charles Lyle Brasfield and wife, Robbin of Salem, AL, daughter, Bari Geeslin and husband, Bob of Lumpkin, GA, grandchildren, Lyndsey Hinckley, Corey Brasfield, Jonathan Hinckley, Andrew Brasfield, Justin Brasfield, two sisters, Gretchen Gerlach Chambers, Ruth Gerlach Dominy and husband, Tommy all of Livingston, TX, numerous nieces and a nephew.

Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, Lumpkin First Baptist Church or First Presbyterian Church in Livingston, TX in honor of Ms. Brasfield.
