Frances J. Meredith

Frances J. Meredith, 82 of Phenix City, Alabama died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M.Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama with a private interment at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Meredith was born September 2, 1932 in Dothan, Alabama; daughter of the late Ernest and Rosa Lee Branton Jenkins. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Local 135 in Phenix City, AL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Meredith and her son, Johnny Meredith.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Rita Meredith of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Lisa Burditt and husband, James of Fortson, GA, Michael Meredith and wife, Joy of Millbrook, AL, Amanda Cox and husband, Keith of Smiths Station, AL, great grandchildren, Jay and Lacey Burditt, Deanna and Jennifer Meredith, Montgomery and Makala Meredith and one great great grandchild, Kolton Burditt.
