Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 1:30pm ET, Monday, October 16, 2023 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Canterbury was born August 18, 1952 in Washington D.C.; son of the late Benjamin Earl and Alla Pearl Allif Canterbury. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Self-Employed Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Canterbury, daughters, Monica Phebus (William), Nicole Schlesinger (Michael), sons, Jacob Canterbury (Amber) and Damon Canterbury. He is also survived by his step-sons, Linston Hayes, Joey Hayes, Howard Gann (Allison), Jacob Gann (Megan), 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is remembered by his family as an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
