Gladys M. Jones

Gladys M. Jones, 71, of Seale, Alabama, died Sunday May 16, 2010 in Phenix City, Alabama. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm EDT Tuesday May 18th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, with the Reverend Francis Turner officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born December 17, 1938 in Perry, Louisiana, daughter of the late Felix Dyson and Estelle Brusard Dyson. She retired as the lunch room manager at Ridgecrest Elementary School in Phenix City after more than 25 years of service. Other than her parents Mrs. Jones is preceded by her husband, Charles D. Jones.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Donaldson of Phenix City and Shirley and Eric Garrett of Smiths Station, AL., sons and daughter-in-law, Charles “Bubba” Jones, David and Barbara Jones, all of Seale, AL., brother, Norris Dyson of Louisiana, sister-in-law, Alice May of Opelika, AL. 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
