Gladys Louise Gresham Sherwood, 94 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her home. A Private Graveside Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at Main Post Cemetery in Fort Benning, Georgia. Mrs. Sherwood was born August 14, 1925 in Upatoi, Georgia; daughter of the late George Robert Gresham and Thelma Grace Pope Gresham. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Sherwood, two sisters, Jean Gresham Crews, Estelle Gresham and one brother, Henry Gresham. Survivors include her son, Charles Sherwood and wife, Kay of Ellaville, GA, granddaughters, Sarah Riddick and husband Frank, of Hamilton,GA, Jacklyn Williams and husband, Darren of Phenix City, AL; three great grandchildren, Rachel Windle and husband, Hunter, Dalton Williams and Michaela Williams. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Gresham Hearn of Marietta, GA and one brother, Robert Gresham of Smiths Station, AL.
