Glenda Jernigan Paul

Glenda Jernigan Paul, 66 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 12th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 280 W., Phenix City, AL with burial to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Paul was born August 16, 1946 in Phenix City, Alabama; daughter of the late William and Willie Pete Sanders Oaks. She was retired from Civil Service after 25 years of service with Martin Army Hospital and was a member of Pierce Road Assembly of God Church in Phenix City, AL.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Harold R. Paul of Columbus, GA, step-children, Norman Paul and Maxine Lambert of Opelika, AL, surrogate mother, Marty Simmons of Columbus, GA, brother, Willie Ray Oaks of Columbus, MS, two aunts, Sarah Mobley of Phenix City, AL, Dottie Trout of Mobile, AL, uncle, Charles Sanders Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
