Grace E. Williams

Grace E. Williams, 91 of Phenix City, AL died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Parkwood Nursing home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating. A private burial will be held in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams was born January 15, 1925 in Ozark, Alabama; daughter of the late Joe S. and Willie Mae Pettus Medley. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mill and was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus Williams, one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include her daughters; Elizabeth Ann Waters (Danny) of Valdosta, GA, Alma June Spivey (Gillis) of Phenix City, AL, Wanda Sue Reese (Scott) of Jacksonville, FL, sisters, Quida Varndo of Riverside, CA, brother, James Medley of Riggins, ID; grandchildren,, Tracy Tharp (Jeff), Jerald Watson (Tammi), Jeff Watson (Heather), Leann Brown, Kevin Brown (Laura), Mark Brown (Diana), Shannon Kennedy (Jeremy), Amanda Kidd (Josh) and 13 great grandchildren.
