Hazel Clare Pitts, 64 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. ET Sunday January 19, 2014 at Pittsview Cemetery with Rev. Hank Reeves officiating according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Pitts was born September 28, 1949 in Union Springs, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Fred and Clara McClendon Singleton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Richard Miller Pitts and her sister, Mary Frances Fretwell.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Richard L. Pitts , son Donnie Pitts (Patricia) all of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Michelle Pitts Davis (Michael) of Smiths Station, AL, sister, Betty Callaway (Horace) of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren, Will Miller, of Smiths Station, AL, Chance Pitts of Phenix City, AL, Haley Haney of Smiths Station, AL, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
