Mr. Jan Patrick Good, 78 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2023. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2023 at Golden Acres Baptist Church, 3405 S. Railroad St., Phenix City, AL 36867 with Rev. Markus Hammonds officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the the service at the church. The family will have a private burial with Military Honors at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mr. Good was born June 12, 1944 in Springfield, Vermont; son of the late Bernard Joseph Good and Gertrude Ida Farmer Good. He was retired from AT&T, served in the U.S. Army and was Catholic by faith.
He had a passion for fishing which led him to become President of the Phenix City Bass Club for several years. With bowling being an intricate part of his life, the following were his many accomplishments; he was a 2 time recipient of the Georgia Bowler of The Year Award, inducted into the Georgia State Bowlers Hall of Fame, Columbus Georgia Sport's Council Member, past President of the Georgia Bowler Association, Certified Bronze Level Bowling Coach, worked with the Special Olympics and a Georgia Lottery Board Member.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Michael Good.
Survivors include his wife, Jane B. Good, daughter, Denise Wilbanks (Keith), son, Keith Good (Maggie), son, Scott Good (Penny), daughter, Amy Crews (Richard), sister, Karen Polihronakis (Stephen), brother, Shawn Good; Grandchildren, Kyle Riddle (Rachel), Micah Riddle, Jonathan Good, Lydia-Jane Good, Hunter Good, Peyton Good, Erika Crews, Julia Costner (Matt) along with great grandchildren, Ava, Emma, Lila, Sawyer, Hazel and Ellison Riddle, Judah Riddle and Mabel Costner.
