Joan Dolores Copeland, 75 of Dothan, AL died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens With Rev. Stan Collins officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be her grandchildren, Matthew Sheppard, Chris Edwards, Calvin Wayne Long, Cory Edwards, Casey Edwards, Mike McManus and Will McManus. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL
Mrs. Copeland was born March 20, 1941 in Dothan, Alabama; daughter of the late Henry Elton Nolan and Minnie Lee Spears. Other than her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, Harry Copeland.
She is survived by her children, Dewayne Long, Linda Barker, Frankie Long, Donna Sue Long Eckstein, James Allen Long, Michelle McManus; her brother, Gerald Coe, sisters, Eulala Holbrooks, Jean Swaim, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
