A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867. The visitation is scheduled for November 26, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Hwy 165, Alabama, 36856, on November 26, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
Mr. Chason served in the U.S. Air Force and was owner of Mr. Transmission for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Delmer C. and Susie Mae Comerford Chason, his wife of 60 years, Nettie Sue Starling Chason and several son-in-laws.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Hayes Canterbury, son, Johnny Chason, grandchildren, James Howard Gann (Allison), John Jacob Gann (Megan), Linston Hayes, Joey Hayes; great grandchildren, Aubrey Rose, Brantlee Belle, Waylon, Brody Keith, sister, Betty Rackley (Dale), brother, Mike Chason and numerous nieces and nephews.
