A visitation for family and friends for Joseph will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A celebration of life funeral service will follow Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Mr. Hicks was born March 23, 1956 in Knott County, Kentucky; son of the late Amos D. and Edna Mae Hart Hicks. He served in the US Army and was a retired coal miner.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Hicks and his brother, Kenneth Hicks.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Marlene Hicks, sons, Joseph Kelly Hicks, Tyler Austin Hicks, daughter, Angela Endres along with seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and several brothers and sisters.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
