Joyce Elaine Terry, age 75, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Sunday September 30, 2018. Joyce was born February 22, 1943 in Maryville, Tennessee to the late Audrey Webb and George Webb. She came to Columbus and began working at AFLAC when the company was very young and still in a small building. After retiring, she worked with the family business at Terry’s Trophy Hut and was a member of The Phenix City Chamber of Commerce. Joyce never met a stranger and was always promoting Phenix City. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, especially for costume jewelry, and loved a good laugh. Joyce leaves behind a Legacy of a loving family to cherish her memory. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Other than her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by; brothers George L Webb, Mayford Webb, and Carlos Webb. She is survived by her husband, Gene D. Terry; daughters Deborah E. Brooks; and Ruby Ann Perkinson; sister-in-law Joyce Webb; granddaughter Raven L. Hodges; grandsons Jonathan Perkinson, Brandon Perkinson, Michael Perkinson, Jacob Perkinson and Kameron Shelton, eighteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and a multitude of friends.
A Memorial Celebration of Joyce's Life will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, AL, with Reverend Eddie Smith officiating.
