

Judy Darlene Davis, 55 of Seale, AL died Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Cottonton, AL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL, with Rev.Kip McKee Officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Judy was born November 18, 1955 in Washington D.C., daughter of Theo W. Parker Of Beuna Vista, GA and Nell Waller Foster of Columbus, GA. She graduated from Hardaway High School in 1977, City of Chicago College in 1989 and Auburn University in in 1998 where she received her Masters Degree. She served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church and was a youth Sunday School teacher, was a member of the American Legion Post 135, D.A.V. Chapter 66, Girl Scouts of Concharty Council and Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery Committee and the Women of the Moose. She was presently employed with the New Life Center for Change (Teen University) as a mathematics and english teacher. She was preceded in death by an angel; Iva Marie Quinn Lawler, granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Lawler, Jr. (Missy), Richard Lawler (Leah), three daughters, Jennifer Edwards (Andrew), Jacquelyn Davis and Jessica Davis, sister, Laura Dyar (John), brother, Jimmy W. Parker,
ten grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
