Julene Mattie Tyndall, age 79, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Funeral services are scheduled on Thursday, December 20, 2018, 1 p.m. at Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama with Reverend Barry Danner and Reverend Ritchie Ashburn officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19,2018 from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Tyndall, daughter of the late Beach Cooper and Eula Mae Trammell Cooper, was born July 7, 1939 in Clayton, Alabama. She worked at TJ Maxx for several years and was a member of Power of Praise Assembly of God, Phenix City, Alabama. Mrs. Tyndall was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary, American Legion, Post 135, Phenix City, Alabama.
She was an active independent lady, enjoyed sewing, gospel music, and traveling. Mrs. Tyndall believed in being truthful, was a good mother, and always wanted to help anyone.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wallace Tyndall; five brothers; five sisters; two grandsons, and two son-in-laws.
She is survived by three daughters, Audrey Woods and her husband Thomas of Columbus, Sharon Horton of Seale, Alabama, and Deborah Greer and her husband Mike, also of Seale, Alabama; three sisters, Joyce Hutto of Clayton, Alabama, Eloise Baxley of Eufaula, Alabama, and Katie Sue Goodwin of Prattville, Alabama; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
