Larry E. Wilson

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler Hamby, 3770 US Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, AL, 36867. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson was born January 1, 1943 in Nashville, TN son of the late Geneva Osborn. He worked for Green’s Propane Gas and retired after many years of service. Mr. Wilson also volunteered as a fireman with the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department for many years and attained the rank of Engineer. He loved serving the community in which he lived. Mr. Wilson also loved working outdoors and being on his tractor. We will miss his presence daily, nut his memory will live forever in our hearts.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Sarah Cone Wilson; two children, James Curtis Johnson (Diane) and Freddie A. Johnson (Tina Marie); one grandchild, Joshua Johnson; 2 sisters, Bonnie Elaine Theel (Dennis), and Portia Petrizzo (Johnny); numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
