Lillian Messick Morris, 92 of Columbus, Ga. died Sunday, June 26, 2016. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. EDT Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Messick was born January 14, 1924in Troy, Alabama; daughter of the late Malin and Carrie Cox Messick. She was a member of Bush Road Emmanuel Holiness Church in Smiths Station, Alabama and was retired from the Columbus Carpet Mill. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Morris, two grandchildren, Karen and Adam Schumacher, her step-son, Curtis Morris and sister, Josie Kontz.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Schumacher and Sandra Peacock of Columbus, Ga; sons, James Peacock of Columbus, Ga., Aubrey Peacock (Gwen) of Fortson, Ga.,step-son, Jimmy Morris of Box Springs, Ga., brother, Kenneth Messick, sister, Frances Simpson both of St. Simons Island, Ga., two grandchildren, Kathryn Hugar (George) , Jamie Hagan (Benjamin) of Columbus, Ga., great grandchildren, Kate and Jared Hugar of Columbus, Ga., several nieces and nephews.
