Linda Annette Melgaard

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL.Linda Annette Melgaard, 68, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016, under the loving care of Columbus Hospice House. She was born January 5, 1948 in Coleman, AL to her late parents John and Evelyn Glass. Mrs. Melgaard was an avid Columbus Cottonmouths Hockey fan, and loved to go bowling. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will welcome guests for a Celebration of Linda’s Life reception Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm in The Girard Room of Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy. 431 North Phenix City, Alabama.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Melgaard is preceded in death by her brother William Ray Flournoy. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Lee Melgaard; three daughters, Linda Louise, Renee Annette, and Brenda Rae; two sons, John Arthur and Kenneth Keith; grandchildren, Charles Richard, Belynda Leigh, Heather Michelle, Christopher Allen, Timothy Jacob, Kaden Chase, Kacey Austin, Karson Blake, Jayden Alexander, Marek, Dylan, James, Jr., and Damien Dwayne; ; one brother, John Dean Glass; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
