Lisa Ellen Brown

Lisa Ellen Brown, 50 of Salem, AL passed away Sunday August 31, 2014 at the Columbus Hospice house. Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Golden Acres Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Cummings and Rev. Jonathan Taylor officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M until 12:00 P.M. at the church.

Mrs. Brown was born January 27, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia; daughter of the late John Thomas Pitts. Jr. and Martha Ellen Mathis Morefield of Smiths Station, AL. She was a 1982 graduate of Smiths Station High School, was employed with the Columbus Medical Center for 18 years and a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband of 26 years, Donald Lee Brown of Salem, AL, two daughters, Krista Shelby Brown of Phenix City, AL, Alissa Megan Brown of Salem, AL, sister, Vicky Pippins and husband, Tim of Salem, AL, maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Mathis of Phenix City, AL, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
