Louise Hodges

Mrs. Louise Starling Head Hodges, 89, of Columbus, Georgia, died Saturday February 5, 2011 at the Fountain City Nursing Home in Columbus, Funeral services will be held 11:00am (EST) Tuesday February 8th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, AL. 36867. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Hodges was born October 26, 1921 in Abbeville, Alabama, daughter of the late Jessie and Helen Starling. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.. Other than her parents Mrs. Hodges is preceded by an infant daughter, husbands, Guy E. Head, Sr. and Tom Hodges and several brothers.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-n-law, Robert Head of Phenix City, Guy Head, Jr. of Griffin, GA., David and Elaine Head of Salem, AL., Ray and Wanda Head of Phenix City, Danny and Sharon Head of Columbus, Ga., 8 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren,14 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
