Luther Mathel Fredrick

A visitation for family and friends for Luther will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a 2:00 PM graveside service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867.

Mr. Fredrick was born September 25, 1936 in Pike County, Alabama; son of the late Luther Gilmer Fredrick and Thelma Stewart Fredrick. He was a life-long member of Smiths Station Baptist Church and was retired from Litho-Krome. He was a 1954 graduate of Central High School and lettered in three sports. He enjoyed playing golf and eating breakfast with his buddies, Frank Sheppard and Jim Boone at IHOP. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed watching Auburn football, Gunsmoke and the Weather Channel.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Dianne Fredrick, son, Jeff Fredrick (Andi), daughter, Jennifer Thaxton (Ron), grandchildren, Taylor Fredrick, Sydney Sinclair (Thomas), Cameron Fredrick (Zach), Austin Thaxton (Maggie), Lane Thaxton (Josh), great grandchildren, Scarlet Parker and Violet Sinclair. He is also survived by his sister, Patty Abbott and her children, Gary Abbott, Adicia Coulter, Rendi Hall and his sister-in-law, Irene Mathis and her children, Tracey Carlan and Laura Honeycutt.
