Margaret Elizabeth Howard

Margaret Elizabeth Howard, 73 of Phenix City, Alabama, died Saturday March 9, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday March 12, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431/280W, Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Dexter James officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Margaret was born May 29, 1939 in Columbus Georgia to the late Archie and Nora Geddings. She attended Baker High School in Columbus and was employed by Cobb Hospital, which later became Phenix Regional. She then worked with Columbus Regional, retiring January 31, 2013. Margaret was a christian and was devoted to her husband, her children and grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy, Betty Jean and Jewel.

Survivors include her husband, Stan Howard, Sr., her son, Stan Howard, Jr. (Cindy), her daughters Jan Herring (Russell) and Lynn Howard, her grandchildren, Spencer, Johnathan, Jamie, Timothy and Micah. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Lavoie and Barbara Sullivan.
