Mrs. O'Berry was born November 3rd 1952, in Douglasville, Georgia, daughter of the late George Andrew Thompson, Sr. and Annie Kate Walker. She attended Jordan High School and was a long time member of the Living Word Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. A prayer warrior and witness and on fire for Jesus Christ. She touched so many lives with her smile and love. Her laughter and beauty lit up a room everywhere she went. She loved everyone. The family, friends, and the world lost a great lady.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, John Warren Truitt, Maron Truitt, James Thompson and her sisters, Evelyn Dickerson and Rachel Pate.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dennis Eugene O'Berry, Sr.; three children and their spouses, Dennis O'Berry, Jr. and wife JoJo O'Berry, Shelly O'Berry Worley, Michael O'Berry and wife Rachel O'Berry; her five grandchildren, Alicia Worley, Adrianna Bailey and husband, Greggory Bailey, Hayden O'Berry, Savannah O'Berry, Samantha O'Berry, great grandson, Dawson Bailey along with her living siblings, George Andrew Thompson, Jr., Shirley Pate, and Jerry Thompson.
Margaret is also survived by her beloved dog, Gracie.
Our mother, wife, grandmother suffered illness for 12 years, but she never gave up and never lost faith in God. She will and always will be missed by everyone. Her family and friends can take comfort in knowing she no longer suffers and is in the arms of our Savior.
Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too.
This is a legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and to fight too.
You gave us strength,
You gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find.
And in your heart you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another.
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best
Your love in our hearts will be forever kept.
