Mary Lyndia Arnold, 76 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Parkwood Nursing Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. EST, Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. with Pastor David Dollar officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. EST prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Arnold was born August 2, 1944 in Dothan, AL; daughter of the late James M. and Nora Jim Bigbie. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette McGuire.
She got her G.E.D. from Chattahoochee Valley in 1968. She worked at Smiths Station School in the cafeteria for six years. She then moved on to working at the Get-N-Go for many more years. She loved reading, writing, cooking and working in her yard. She also loved Jesus and could not wait to be reunited with her mother, Nora. She was everyone's "MiMi" and she will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy Kelly and husband, Chris of Smiths Station, AL, grandchildren, Destiney Moore (Jeremy), Scott Kelly (Chelsie), Whitney Kelly (Cody); great grandchildren, Rayleigh Moore, Leo Moore, Grayson Kelly, Paisleigh Kelly, Everett Moore, Willow Workman and numerous extended family and friends.
