Mary Jenkins Eldridge, 82 of Phenix City, Alabama died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with Reverend Barry Danner officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Eldridge was born October 16, 2016 in Dothan, Alabama; daughter of the late Joseph Richard Jenkins and Eddie Myrl Walters. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Alexander Eldridge, her daughter, Barbara Jean Adams and her grandson, John Vernon Helms.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Joyce Eldridge (Ronnie) of Phenix City, AL, sister, Jo Faye Smith of Dothan, AL, grandchildren, Steve Hood of Columbus, GA, Randall Ryan and Daniel Ryan of Phenix City, AL, granddaughter-in-law, Beverly Helms of Smiths Station, AL, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
