Mary Alice Green

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Smiths Station Baptist Church with Reverend David Kees officiating according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. Interment to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Green was born in Barbour County, AL. on February 25, 1921 to the late Wiley Robert Green and Eunice McLaney Green. She was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church, and breast cancer survivor of 25 years. Mrs. Green retired as a bookkeeper from Southern Phenix Textile. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer James Green, son, Elmer Ronald Green, siblings, Ruth Kennedy, Truitt Weston, Robert Green, Jr., Buford Green, Catherine East and Richard Green.

Survivors include her four grandchildren, Deirdre Howard and husband Kevin, Brad Green and wife Victoria, Douglas Green, and LeAnn Harris and husband John. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Jacob Howard, Wesley Howard, Hunter Harris, Kayleigh Green, Mallory Green, Jackson Harris, Brandon Green and Cooper Harris, and siblings Betty Jean Baxley, Joyce Morgan, Ladon Green and Steve Green.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Columbus Hospice or Smiths Station Baptist Church.
