Mary E. Riley, 89, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Sunday April 27, 2013 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday May 2nd in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N/280 W, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverend Junior White officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday 1 hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Riley was born in Booneville, MS., daughter of the late William A. McCarter and Roxie Ella Curtis. She was formerly employed by K-Mart and W.T. Grant in Phenix City. Mrs. Riley was Baptist by faith and a member of the Women of the Moose, Phenix City Lodge. Other than her husband, William M. Riley Mrs. Riley is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Thomas W. and Jane Robinson of Pensacola, FL., Donna M. and Bill VanHoosen of Milton, FL., Bonita L. and James DeBroux of Pace, FL., Brenda R. and David Barfield of Salem, AL., Sharon D. Rustin of Phenix City, 11 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
