Visitation for Family and Friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, Lakewood Hall, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, on November 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Celebration of Life Funeral Service at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, Lakewood Hall, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, on November 6, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Pastor Michael Roberts will officiate.
Mrs. Helms is the daughter of the late Tillary R. George and Lula Mae Franklin George. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert George, Odis George and her nephew, Dannon George.
Survivors include her husband, Solon "Red" D. Helms,Dean George and wife, Shirlene, sister-in-law Mary George Beauregard and nephews, John and Jason George.
