I am so sorry to learn of Melissa’s death. I taught her in Second Grade at Sherwood. I’ll always remember her as a bright, happy, friendly girl with beautiful curly hair and a great smile! She will be missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Melissa’s passing. Though I only knew her for a short time, sharing a room with her during the Rock’n Mom’s Retreat at Callaway Gardens in September is something I will always remember with a smile. Her humor, her light spirit, and the way she effortlessly made people laugh left a lasting impression on my heart. As a mother of a child with Down syndrome, meeting Melissa meant even more to me because for the first time in that space, I met someone who truly shared that same experience. I am grateful for the moments we shared and the connection we formed, however brief. My prayers and deepest condolences are with her family and loved ones during this painful time. Melissa will not be forgotten.

I am so sorry about Melissa's passing. I know she was such a loving and fierce advocate for bettering the lives of everyone around her.  Her loss will make this world a little less bright. I am sending love and prayers to you all. I pray that the wonderful memories you have of her will provide at least the slightest of comfort. I pray God gives you all strength in the coming days!

Melissa was my cousin. Her beautiful curly hair was like a golden halo. Very fitting for her. My heart is broken for her husband and their wonderful children and her parents. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

I am very sad to hear of Melissa’s passing. I’ve had the honor to be Katie and John Clark’s pediatrician.  I so looked forward to my visits with her and her children over the last two decades.  She was such a fierce advocate for people with Down Syndrome and a blessing for this community.  Her loss will leave a big hole in the hearts of many including myself.  May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Melissa. She was so kind to me and my daughter when Amelia attended Glenwood. I enjoyed getting to know her during the 8th grade trip to Washington DC. I will be praying for family and for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
