A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, Lakewood Hall, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, on April 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Mitch is the son of the late Billy Southall and Margaret Helen Ellis Southall. He was retired from MeadWestvaco with over 25 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to eat good food.
Other than his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tilton and Katie Ellis.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Helen Southall, daughter, Dixie Horan and husband, Sean and Dixie's mother, Shirley Southall; also survived by his granddaughter, Teryn Woodham, brother, Karl Southall, sister, Donna Wood, nephew, Josh Wood and his loyal friend, Yvonne Lee Grohman (Captain Dave)
