Norma Jean Dake

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 11:00am EDT until 12:pm EDT in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at West Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ,

Mrs. Dake was born November 15, 1943 in Painesville, Ohio; daughter of the late Ralph Everett Mattice and Alta Mae Bishop Mattice. She had worked earlier in life as a private investigator and later retired as Coordinator from Phoenix Children's Hospital. She was a long standing member and board member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School at Trinity United Methodist Church in Phoenix, AZ.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, John Csupick and Michael E. Dake; brother, Ralph Mattice, sisters, Bernice Mattice, Anne Panzarella and Louise Ladd.

Survivors include her daughters, Kelly Murphy (David), Lesli Sargent (Tracey), granddaughters, Kimberly Hanson (Mark), Emma Sargent (Jade); great granddaughter, Abigail Hanson. She is also survived by her nieces, Elise Panzarella (Gene), Lenee Link (Keith) and Terri Lombardo (Vince).
